Dr. Patricia Warrington specializes in consumer behavior and retail merchandising analysis. Her research is directed toward understanding shopping behavior in both the built and digital environments. Her research is published in academic journals such as Journal of Retailing, Psychology & Marketing, and Journal of Business Research and has been presented at national and international conferences.
Prior to her academic career, Dr. Warrington held various positions in merchandising and store management with a major Dallas-based regional department store chain. She also spent several years working closely with small business owners as a business development specialist and Director of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Angelo State University.
Dr. Warrington’s professional affiliations include the American Collegiate Retailing Association (ACRA), Fashion Group International (FGI) Dallas Chapter, and International Textile and Apparel Association (ITAA). In 2005, she was honored to receive the Young Achiever Award from the Council of Alumni and Friends of the Norton School of Family and Consumer Sciences of the University of Arizona.
